A yellow-ripening variant of Adjuma (C. chinense), a traditional pepper of Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean. Adjuma is the local name for habanero-type peppers in Suriname. Heat 100,000–500,000 SHU. Habanero-shaped pods with a fruity, tropical aroma characteristic of Caribbean chinense peppers. Used in Surinamese and Dutch-Caribbean cooking. Related to the Madame Jeanette and other Surinamese habanero-type peppers.
