Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Green
A chinense type. Ripens to green, habanero-type pods, with tail. Packs 500,000–1,200,000 SHU (extremely hot, in superhot territory). Originates from Trinidad & Tobago. Trinidad Scorpion types are recognized by their characteristic pointed tail, extreme wrinkling, and brutal heat. Parentage: Landrace from Moruga, Trinidad. Believed to be a selection from 7-Pot × Congo Pepper cross by Nigel & Russell Rooplal (ca. 2010).
